Full Time Information for Students Aged 5-7 Years Old
Academic Block
9:00am - 12:00pm on Monday - Thursday
Students are placed into classes based on needs and not grade level. Part of that consideration includes being mindful of the ages and the social aspect as well.
This also means that the kids are placed for each subject and not stuck learning at the same level for all subjects whether it fits best or not!
Current students have had teachers submit their recommendations for how they should be grouped for the best chance of their learning success.
New students will need to schedule and complete a placement interview to find their sweet spot.
Presentations, projects, research, challenges, virtual & physical field trips, and learning to work cooperatively with others are just a few of the activities the students will participate in.
Bringing learning to life using creativity, problem solving, social skills, and fun is our goal!
Elective Block
12:00 - 2:30PM on Monday - Thursday
*May be asked to stay until 2:45PM on Musical Theatre days*
The elective enrichment classes will meet for 2.5 hours to learn various aspects of the arts and life skills depending on the day. With time for lunch, PE, social/emotional learning, and the elective for the day - these kids are guaranteed to have a blast!
Electives include:
Music: Explore the basics of music as well as learn a new instrument every 9 weeks! Learning music history and reading has proven to increase academic learning too!
Draw, Color, Paint, and Create with friends in our art curriculum that teaches students to work with many media types.
Musical Theatre: Singing, dancing, acting, stage craft, and music are our key components to building a show that every audience will love. All students registered will be included but will be part of a placement audition for their exact role(s). Every role is important to telling the story and we can’t do it without all the students! Students are required to attend both days of rehearsal each week
